Neef specialises in complex body parts. Because the level of technical complexity demanded for components is steadily rising, we are increasingly being called on for our expertise. In order to constantly improve our range of services in this area, we are working with renowned universities in a variety of research fields.
We are your experienced production partner for:
- Forming technology
500-ton blanking and forming press, 630-800-ton automatic punching machines, 600-2500-ton transfer moulding presses, manual press technology
- Bonding technology
- Welding technology
• Spot welding technology
Spot welding of largely galvanised steel sheets with complex geometries in some cases and high requirements for the component tolerances of the finished part. Pneumatic and increasingly servo-driven electrode holders are used. The welding technology is designed in 50Hz or medium-frequency technology, depending on the application. Only regulating control systems are used as controllers in order to ensure maximum spot quality. Processing high-strength material qualities is therefore not a problem.
• Inert gas shielded arc welding technology
Inert gas shielded arc welding both with robots and with machine-guided torches. In robot systems, automatic systems are used to measure the position of the weld seam in order to optimise process stability. By using systems to monitor the welding data, we reduce the labour required to monitor the welding to great effect.
• Laser welding technology
Laser welding with a solid-state laser using a robot-guided beam optical system.
• Projection welding technology
Projection welding of standard and special nuts and bolts, either automated and incorporated into the overall process, or in individual production on standard projection welding systems.
- Assembly technology
- Automated setting of rivet nuts and bolts with components handled by robots
- Application of sealing and structural adhesives using robots, either cold or hot, in some cases with subsequent inductive precuring after spot welding
- Application of sealing foams on CNC-controlled coordinate machines
- Assembly of bearing bushes, locking screws etc.
- Leak tests using the differential pressure method
- Bonding equipment
We operate 21 robotic welding plants with a total of 36 industrial robots with a load from 6 - 150 kg
The robots perform the following tasks:
- 23 robots for spot welding of structural parts for body construction
- 3 robots for inert gas shielded arc welding
- 1 robots for laser welding
- 7 robots for handling tasks
- 2 robots for applying adhesive seams
33 40 - 900 kVA projection welding plants either as a stand-alone unit or incorporated into complex bonding plants.
The range is rounded off by a few special welding machines which work with inert gas shielded arc welding torches or spot welding electrode holders mounted on CNC-controlled axles.
We largely use bonding equipment that has been specially designed and built for the products to be manufactured. Several different standard bonding operations are increasingly being combined to form an integrated process. This circumvents interfaces between the individual operations, which improves the logistical processes and reduces the lot fraction defective.
The equipment of the plants with robots, welding technology and technologies to stabilise and monitor processes is based as a minimum on the requirements expected of us by customers for the product. In general, the plants are equipped with a view to finding the optimum process structure and maximising quality.
